Key points for bearing selection and lubrication maintenance of high-efficiency three-phase asynchronous motor

Publish Time: 2025-02-07
As the core equipment in modern industry, the stable operation of high-efficiency three-phase asynchronous motor is crucial to production efficiency and equipment life. As the key component of the motor, the selection and lubrication maintenance of the bearing directly affect the performance and reliability of the motor. The following will discuss in detail the key points for bearing selection and lubrication maintenance of high-efficiency three-phase asynchronous motor.

1. Bearing selection

High-efficiency three-phase asynchronous motor usually uses bearings that can withstand combined radial and axial loads to meet its stable operation requirements under complex working conditions. Common bearing types include deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and angular contact ball bearings.

Deep groove ball bearings: simple structure, easy maintenance, mainly bear radial loads, but when the radial clearance is increased, it can also withstand certain axial loads. Suitable for small and medium-sized motors.

Cylindrical roller bearings: large radial load capacity, suitable for occasions with heavy loads and impact loads. Its inner and outer rings can be separated, easy to install and disassemble, suitable for high-speed operation.

Angular contact ball bearings: can withstand combined radial and axial loads, as well as axial loads in one direction. The larger the contact angle, the higher the ability to withstand axial loads. Suitable for occasions requiring high precision and high rigidity.

When selecting bearings, factors such as the motor's output power, mounting type, protection level, load type, and connection method should also be considered to ensure that the bearing matches the overall performance of the motor.

2. Lubrication and maintenance

Lubrication is the key to keeping the bearing in good operating condition. High efficiency three-phase asynchronous motor bearings are usually lubricated with grease. Choosing the right grease model and avoiding mixing different greases are important steps to ensure the normal operation of the bearing.

Grease selection: The right grease should be selected based on the motor's working environment, temperature, speed, and load. High-quality grease has good extreme pressure anti-wear, anti-oxidation, and anti-rust properties.

Grease addition: The amount of grease added should not be too much or too little. Too much will cause the bearing to heat up, and too little will cause poor lubrication. Generally, the amount of grease added should not exceed two-thirds of the bearing chamber.

Regular replacement: Grease should be replaced regularly according to the use of the motor and the deterioration of the grease. For general small and medium-sized motors, the grease should be replaced once after six months of normal continuous operation.

Cleaning and inspection: Before replacing the grease, the bearings and bearing covers should be thoroughly cleaned to ensure that no impurities remain. At the same time, the wear of the bearings should be checked and replaced in time if any abnormality is found.

In summary, the bearing selection and lubrication maintenance of high efficiency three-phase asynchronous motors are the key to ensuring their stable operation. Correct bearing selection and regular lubrication maintenance will greatly improve the performance and reliability of the motor.
